Nothing cooked in the house and Jay didn't feel like cooking, so Ken treated her to Ginger Asian Cuisine, on Friday, December 11, 2015. Almost felt like "Cheers," as everyone knows us and greeted us warmly. Since we didn't call ahead, no booth, but the table we were seated at worked well.
We wanted to try something different, for a change, so we looked around to see what others were eating.
Jay had a sore throat, so she ordered egg drop soup, which was flavorful and did the job.
Ken ordered the coconut shrimp, six huge shrimp, which came with a honey wasabi sauce. Tasty.
Jay wanted Pad Thai, extra spicy. Perfection.
Ken saw shredded sesame beef, a LARGE plate of sweet and spicy goodness. Breaded, but tender pieces of meat which melted in the mouth.
We love the House Special Fried Rice, instead of white, brown, or regular fried rice...
Refreshing orange slices and fortune cookies at the end of the meal.
We plan to try something new every other visit. Love this place! (Jay's phone died, so Ken took the pictures - not bad!)

Since Jay and Ken like to eat at BYOBs, we decided to create this blog to keep track of where we've been and what we like.

The Little Tuna
We met friends, Karin and George, at The Little Tuna, 114 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 (856-795-0888), for a nice leisurely lunch. We always have an enjoyable time with these two... It was pretty busy for a lunchtime, which was nice to see.
Kaiyiid, our server, was pleasant and patient. He made the Bananas Fosters Bread Pudding! So talented!
Since we didn't see some of our favorites on the lunch menu, we asked for the dinner menu.
We shared appetizers:
Oysters - Jay and George MUST have these! Blue Points. So good!
Flash fried calamari - 1/2 order
BBQ Bacon Wrapped Jumbo Shrimp
Bleu Steak & Bacon Bites
Karin asked for bread to sop up the clam sauce, and they came out HOT!
Entrees enjoyed:
Karin - Sauteed Little Neck Clams
Jay
Cup of Roasted Lobster bisque with sherry
Ken
Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, with mashed potatoes and veggies
George
Honey Jalapeno Sea Scallops with mashed potatoes and veggies. He was impressed with the mashed potatoes which were fresh and tasty. The spiciness of the jalapeƱos enhanced the dish.
We shared desserts:
Bananas Foster Bread Pudding
Pistachio Crusted Brownie - fudgy goodness!
Everything was delicious and, once again, we spent a wonderful afternoon with friends.
Wines enjoyed:
Forgot to get a picture of the Pouilly Fuisse!

Ginger Asian Cuisine
Didn't eat all day! Where to go? Ginger's of course! We stopped in around 3:30 for a late lunch/early dinner.
The usual...
We both ordered the specials which came with soup or spring roll. Jay enjoyed the hot and sour soup...
Ken enjoyed the spring roll...
Love the Vietnamese Beef with Grape Leaves!
Jay ordered the Red Snapper Special with ginger scallion sauce. Very flavorful.
Of course, Jay enjoyed both portions of Mochi Ice Cream!
It's so nice when everyone who works there remembers you and greets like you family!

La Terrazza (Italian)
Since Jay's Groupon was about to expire, she and Ken decided to give La Terrazza Ristorante, 1401 Marlton Pike East (Route 70) East, Barclay Farms Shopping Center, Cherry, NJ, a try! What a wonderful surprise. Jay called for a reservation (856-354-1888) and was told it was unnecessary since there were just 2 of us. We had our choice of tables once we arrived on Sunday, October 25, 2015, around 6:15 PM.
We were greeted by Kevin, who made us feel like family the entire night!
Delicious bread with an herbed spread and peppers were immediately brought out. Ken devoured most of the basket (Jay only had 2 slices!)
Appetizers:
Jay selected the stuffed long hot peppers with prosciutto, gorgonzola and provolone cheese, oven roasted with red onions and olive oil. Beautiful dish. Tasty and addictive! She wanted more!
Ken enjoyed the Scallops wrapped with bacon, which were huge and satisfying...
Entrees:
Salad came with our meals. The dressing was refreshing and we couldn't stop eating it!
Ken requested, and received, Veal Saltimbocca (not on the menu), which he always tries whenever he visits an Italian restaurant. He was impressed and enjoyed every bite.
Jay enjoyed the Veal and Shrimp Portabella entree. It was so flavorful, especially with the sun dried tomatoes. Half went home for the next day's lunch.
Kevin remembered us from La Posata! Wow!

We selected vegetables instead of pasta. Good choice!
We will definitely return and hope to bring others with us next time. Definitely worth the visit! Chef Dave is awesome! His flavor combinations are amazing! Please visit soon!
