For our monthly lunch, Jay and Ken met Karin and George at Kunkel's Seafood & Steakhouse, 920 Kings Highway, Haddon Heights, NJ 08035, 856-547-1225, on Friday, April 24, 2026. We had a wonderful, leisurely, meal.
Carol and Tatihana were so welcoming and attentive!
Shared appetizers:
Fiery Thai Calamari - crispy fried calamari tossed in a spicy-sweet chili sauce with fresh scallions (so good, we ordered another!)
Kunkel's Killer Shrimp - sautéed in spicy killer sauce, served with garlic bread - Wow!
Jay and George shared the Grilled Oysters (New Orleans style) topped with butter herbs and parmesan cheese - yummy!
Jay and George had to get the oysters (Sloop Point and Sweetwater Pearls) - so good!
Entrees:
Jay chose the Day Boat Scallops, which was an appetizer, for her entree. She ate Ken's Steak and Potato soup as well, which was nice and hearty.
Karin enjoyed the Steak Ravioli
George was pleased with his Classic Cheeseburger and fries (so tasty!)
Ken devoured the Pepper Steak Stir Fry Special.
