Ginger Asian Cuisine

Jay and Ken returned to Ginger Asian Cuisine, 7 Wilkins Station Road, Medford, NJ 08055 (609-953-7888) for dinner on Saturday, March 21, 2026. It's always nice to be welcomed back here. Such nice people and wonderful food.

We enjoyed the following:

BBQ Ribs (Ken must have every time that we visit)


Entrees:

Jay couldn't even begin to finish the Ginger Special Dinner Box of Shrimp with Green Curry. It came with soup (she chose hot and sour) plus choice of rice (she chose white), salad, spring roll, and steamed dumplings. Wow! Delicious! A nice portion went home for the next day.



Ken devoured the Korean BBQ Beef (sliced beef marinated in Bulgogi and Kalbi sauce and stir-fried with fresh garlic and onions, served with lettuce and kimchi.

Black Olive Greek Cuisine

For our monthly lunch, Jay and Ken met Karin and George at Black Olive Greek Cuisine, 910 Haddonfield Berlin Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043-3503 (856-425-5500), on Friday, November 21, 2025. We had a delicious lunch experience. We couldn't believe it's been 3 years since our last visit! Advina was a wonderful server.

Shared plates (from the lunch and dinner menus):

Calamarakia (fried calamari) - lightly breaded and cooked to perfection

Garides Sharas - grilled shrimp. So good that we ordered another!


Htapodi - Mediterranean grilled octopus with onions and capers, served with hummus


Black Olive Chips - fried zucchini and fried eggplant - crispy goodness, served with tzatziki sauce


Keftedakia - ground beef and pork meatballs, served with tzatziki sauce

Mixed Grill - charcoal grilled lamb chop, loukaniko (sausage), chicken souvlaki and haloumi cheese, served with fresh cut fries



Desserts:

Baklava - layers of phyllo pastry filled with chopped walnuts, cinnamon, cloves, & syrup

Galaktoboureko - creamy custard and flaky phyllo pastry, drenched with lemon infused syrup

Ekmek Kataifi - topped with creamy vanilla custard and whipped cream and garnished with pistachios

Ken enjoyed the Greek Coffee

Tres Yan & Wu (Chinese)

Jay and Ken visited Tres Yan & Wu, 3131 Route 38, Bank of America Plaza, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054-9757 (856-608-8888), on Thursday, October 30, 2025. We enjoyed a nice dinner.

We shared the Honey Gazed Ribs. Delicious - came with homemade duck and hot mustard sauces.


Ken enjoyed the Grandfather's Chicken - similar to General Tso's. He devoured it!

Jay wasn't that hungry, but almost finished the Mongolian Lamb, which was so flavorful!

Corey's Crafty Vietnamese Cuisine (Philly Special)

During our August visit, we learned that Corey used to work at another restaurant in Jersey. Since that restaurant closed, we were happy to learn that some of the dishes we enjoyed were cooked by Corey! George coordinated with Corey for a wonderful multi-course lunch of small plates that were delicious! Since this was "off-menu," it is suggested that you contact Corey 5 days in advance, including price.

Jay and Ken met Karin and George at Corey's Crafty Vietnamese Cuisine, 1314 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147 (267-703-2299), on Friday, October 24, 2025. What a wonderful feast! We took our time and enjoyed a 5-hour meal! This review can't do it justice! Wow!

Amuse Bouche

Smoked salmon with creme fraiche and Vietnamese pate

Vietnamese escargot, lemongrass, sticky rice with Goc and a sauce of ginger, fish sauce, and peppercorns. Even Ken enjoyed one!

Beefsteak tomatoes with mozzarella with white winter truffle oil and Balsamic / Egg white Korean flan

Wild Boar with scalloped potatoes and sweet potatoes, with baby asparagus and shiitake mushrooms

Tapioca banana with choc chip chunks, cassava, caramel, and crushed nuts


This was truly special! Highly recommended for a special occasion!
